The American Society for Clinical Research (ASCR) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing dental science and practice through education and instruction. Founded in 1990, the ASCR holds seminars, classes and workshops in the United States and Canada. The information in ASCR courses is supported by clinical studies with long-term outcomes. Throughout the courses, the relative merits of different philosophies and approaches are discussed. Course formats provide ample opportunity for questions and answers, and discussion directly between attendees and instructors.
